Stone Energies All stones are a storehouse of energy. This energy, called "vibrations", is either Projective or Receptive. Everything within the universe is made up of these two energies and the main objective is to keep the energies balanced. The maintaining of a perfect balance of these twin forces results in a healthy body, mind, emotions and spirit. Projective stones are brightly colored, aggressive and electrical. Their energy is strong and forceful, deflecting negativity. They create movement. They will help destroy dis-ease, help strengthen the mind, and give courage and determination to the weary. They promote physical energy, attract luck and bring success. They are associated with the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Uranus, and with the elements of Fire and Air. Receptive stones are soothing, calming, magnetic, peaceful and aid in meditation. They bring wisdom and spiritual awareness. By promoting communication between the conscious and subconscious mind, psychic awareness is strengthened. They will attract love, money, friendship, and aid in healing. They are a great grounding stone. They are usually more subtle in color, even translucent or opalescent at times. They are associated with the Moon, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, and with the elements of Earth and Water. Not all stones will fit into just one of these categories, rather containing a mixture of these energies. You must use your own judgment to determine their basic powers and how they affect you. Remember that stones are gifts from Mother Earth.
